Menu tastings are increasingly important as more and more couples are looking to personalize their menu, from their cocktails to their desserts and everything in between.
At SKY Armory, we turn everything into an event and our tastings are no different. At our tasting event, you don't just fill your belly with amazingly delicious food, you get a taste of the whole experience starting with the cocktail hour and ending with dinner and desserts. You'll leave SKY with inspiration and a sense of comfort and excitement for the rest of your wedding planning process and the actual day.
Our Tasting Event is a fully interactive experience, starting the moment you walk in. After meeting your planner and checking out the ceremony space, you head upstairs to the Wells ballroom, where our design team has staged vignettes of different linens, centerpieces, hanging treatments, and other decor elements intended to inspire your wedding design. Of course, our designers are available to assist you with any and all questions.
Every party needs cocktails - and this is no different. While you browse, our bar team will be pouring signature cocktails for you to taste, such as "Say I Do Sangria", along with hors d'oeuvres and assistance from our culinary team.
The party then moves to, the Coverly Ballroom where you sit down with your guests and truly experience the skills of the culinary team, and our team style dinner service. Through a series of courses, served just as they would be on your big day, the Chef de Cuisine comes out and tells you a little bit about exactly what you're eating. You will try 8-10 full size plates of some of our most popular entrees, different from what you think you might want.
And for dessert? Our Pastry Team sets up a dessert display with many of our signature mini desserts, a dessert station, such as the s'mores bar - for those with an extra sweet tooth, as well as a tasting platter at your table that includes different flavors of cakes, cake pops, and more!
