What is the venue capacity for a Reception? 

SKY Amory has four event spaces that offer flexibility for weddings from 50 – 350.

 

What is the venue capacity for a Ceremony?

SKY Armory ceremony options provide flexibility for ceremonies from 50 to 200.

Do you have an outdoor ceremony space?

We have outdoor patio space and can coordinate an outdoor ceremony. We would reserve an indoor ceremony space for you in the event of inclement weather or high heat index.

What days and times are available?

We will book a wedding any day of the week. Most popular dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We offer 6-hour wedding receptions and allocate an additional hour for the ceremony. You choose your start time; however we just ask that your end time be by 11:00pm.

Do you offer wedding planning or coordinating services?

SKY Armory has a dedicated wedding planner to assist you through the planning process for seamless wedding day with every detail attended to. Your wedding planning will manage your wedding day attending to the timeline and details and coordinating with your band or dj.

 

What is included in the Room Rental?

We include all tables, chairs, linens, napkins, plateware, serviceware, barware, dance floor with the room rental.

 

Is there a minimum or maximum guest requirement?

We want you to plan the wedding you want. We don’t have guest size requirements. We are limited to weddings of up to 350 guests.

 

Is there a food and beverage minimum spend requirement?

We know that planning a wedding is a financial investment and do not add the additional burden of hitting a food and beverage minimum spend. The exception to this is if you want to upgrade to a larger than needed event space or want to do a building buyout, which may require a minimum spend.

 

Is there on-site catering, or do we need to bring in our own?

SKY Amory provides all catering needs; food, beverages, wedding cake and desserts.

We do not allow for outside catering.  We do make exceptions for family traditions (i.e. Italian cookies).

 

Do you accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions?

We work with all our clients to customize a menu and plan for any dietary accommodations. We always offer gluten free and vegan options with our menu. We accommodate guest dietary restrictions and allergies as long as we know in advance. If we are informed during the event our culinary team will do their best to accommodate.

 

Are there hotels nearby?

We have 2 downtown hotels that we assist our clients with room blocks. The  Best Western is across the street and the Marriott Armory Square is two blocks away. There are also Airbnb’s within walking distance. Your guests will enjoy the amenities of downtown Syracuse and ease of walking to nearby restaurants, shops, museums and entertainment. We can give you tourism booklets of Public Art and Architecture Walking Tour to include in welcome bags.

 

What is the parking situation for guests?

For any guests not staying in hotels and walking to SKY Armory, there are parking options within one block. We recommend #12, #13, and #18 on the Downtown Syracuse Parking Map: https://www.onlib.org/sites/default/files/downtown-syracuse-parking-brochure.pdf

 

Can we bring in our own vendors | service providers?

You are welcome to hire your preferred photographer, videographer, dj | band,  photo booth etc. 

We have in-house floral design and décor and although most couples have us do their décor, you can bring in your own items as well.

Your wedding planner will assist  you with vendor recommendations and selections.

 

Are there any restrictions on décor and personalization?

At SKY Armory, we encourage personalization of your wedding day and will work with you to create your vision.

We allow the use of candles – and love using candlelight to set the mood.

We allow cold sparklers.

You can use confetti, however we will charge a clean-up fee based on the type of confetti.

 

Do I have to set up and take down the personal items I bring for the wedding?

Your wedding planner with set-up any items that you bring to us for your wedding ceremony and reception. At the end of the reception, we will make sure cards and gifts go with you (or responsible pre-assigned person) and any other items we will pack up for you to pick up the next day.

Are there any restrictions on alcohol?

SKY Armory has a liquor license and liquor liability insurance and therefore, all beverages including alcohol must be provided by the venue. We only will serve alcoholic beverages to guests 21+ and reserve the right to ask for ID for anyone who appears to be a minor. We offer a variety of bar formats to choose from and your wedding planner can help guide the best option for your wedding. We do not serve shots. The bar closes 15 minutes prior to the end time of the reception.
