SKY Armory & Press Gurwitz Perfumerie: Signature Scents for Signature Moments

Updated: 2 days ago

We always say your wedding should reflect who you are. Not just how things look, but how the day feels. The music, the food, the atmosphere... it all matters. But one thing most couples don’t think about? How it smells.

We’re not talking about the flowers. We’re talking about scent in a more personal, lasting way.

That’s where Press Gurwitz Perfumerie comes in. Founded by master perfumer Victor, this Finger Lakes-based fragrance boutique offers custom scent experiences that go beyond anything you’ve seen at a wedding.

Why Fragrance?

Smell is one of the most powerful triggers of memory. One subtle spritz can bring you right back to a moment, a place, or a feeling. It’s why people keep a loved one’s sweater, or why a certain cologne reminds you of your dad.

So imagine this: You create a custom scent with your partner in the months leading up to your wedding. You wear it on the big day, and again on your honeymoon. Then, years down the road, whether on an anniversary or a quiet Sunday. you wear it again. Suddenly, you’re right there again. That moment, that feeling, that magic of your special day, back in an instant.

Custom fragrences for your special day is a 2025 wedding trend that we love!

What You Can Do with Press Perfumerie:

Whether you’re a couple looking to add a meaningful detail to your day, or a bridal party looking for a fun and elevated group activity, here are a few ways to bring scent into the mix:

Create a Signature Scent for the Wedding Day

Work directly with Victor in a private session to create a scent that captures your dynamic, whether it’s soft and floral, rich and woodsy, or something completely unexpected. This is a popular option for couples who want to share something deeply personal and lasting.

Host a Bridal Shower or Bachelorette Experience

Swap the spa day or wine tasting for something more interactive. With Victor guiding the way, you and your closest people can design custom perfumes while learning about scent layering, ingredients, and the science of active memory. Everyone leaves with a bottle of their own creation and a memory to go with it!

Gift Your Bridal Party Something Personal

Looking for favors that won’t end up in a drawer? Custom perfumes are thoughtful, elegant, and completely unique. You can even design one "wedding scent" and gift it to your bridal party as a keepsake.

Make it a Team or Group Experience

Looking for a luxe bonding experience that isn’t another happy hour? Scent-making sessions are a great fit for company events, leadership retreats, or client appreciation moments.

How It Works

Sessions can take place right here in our SKY Armory space, depending on the type of event. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, part creative workshop, part sensory experience. You don’t need to know anything about perfume to walk away with something amazing (and totally you).

Victor walks you through the entire process, from identifying scent profiles you’re drawn to, to layering complementary notes, to naming your final blend. It’s personal, memorable, and a lot more fun than you’d expect. Think less “science lab,” more “wine tasting for your nose.”

Why We Love It

At SKY Armory, we’re always on the lookout for experiences that help couples create deeper, more personal moments, before, during, and even after their wedding day. What Press Perfumerie offers is special because it doesn’t just add to your celebration... it becomes a part of your story.

Your flowers will wilt. Your photos will live in an album. But your scent? That stays with you.
